Belper to Tewkesbury

 Sunday September 22nd. Day 36.

It would have been my mum’s 105th birthday today!

We had arranged to meet John’s eldest sister Eileen at a garden centre near Derby for lunch. We had a nice catch up with her. The weather was awful though, heavy rain for most of the day.

After lunch we set off for Tewkesbury. It was mostly motorway driving and not very interesting. There was a lot of surface water on the roads.

When we arrived at our site it was raining heavily. It didn’t really stop for the next couple of hours so Dex and I went out in the rain. The campsite is right next to the Abbey.

Poor Dex was soaked by the time we got back but he did enjoy running after perceived squirrels in the woods. I put his dry coat on and he soon snuggled down.
