Tewkesbury to Wiltshire

Tuesday 24th September. Day 38.

We had a broken night’s sleep as kept wondering if we would be evacuated! Luckily not. I went to check out the entrance and it was still flooded. The road was a river running past. Thank goodness they have the emergency exit!

The whole site was being evacuated as they were concerned that the water could keep rising. It was fine for us as we were leaving anyway, but we felt sorry for those who had booked for a week’s holiday.

Today we were heading for Wiltshire to see our daughter Jess, son in law Ben and our gorgeous new Granddaughter Cora.

We saw a lot of flooding on our journey but luckily the roads were mostly ok.

Here she is, such a beautiful girl and an absolute delight!
We had a lovely afternoon and evening catching up.

  1. Thank goodness you were safe it would have been awful to end your trip like that. Instead you had family time with lots of cuddles & singing lullaby's! 🥰Xx
